It took nearly five years just to plan and build The Fiddlers Three structure, with attention being paid to each minute detail. More than 1,700 glass units went into the composition of the leaded glass in the doors and windows. Inside, the fancy woodwork and display cases were all installations made on the premises, as were the two enormous, Old-World fireplaces, connected by a forty-foot chimney.
At The Fiddlers Three, service and atmosphere are of utmost importance and we will give your event the time and attention that we ourselves value.

4 Tips to a Beautiful Wedding Reception

#1 – Invest the time
Take the time to experiment, and really try things out before deciding on your overall wedding décor, table linens, etc. Some colors, fabrics and textures look completely different in different lighting, so how it looks in the bright fluorescent lights of the showroom is NOT how it will look in your dim, candlelit reception room.
#2 – Come prepared
When you meet with your wedding designer and/or linens provider, it’s most helpful and efficient if you come armed with as much detail as possible about your wedding, such as photos of your wedding dress and bridesmaids’ attire, any cake or floral information you have and so on. Also, if you have a specific color in mind, bring in an actual sample – verbal descriptions just don’t work!
#3 – Handle strong color with care
If you love a bright, vivid color but are concerned about it being “too much,” consider using it as an accent color in the room instead, such as in the napkins and chair ties. If it’s a small wedding, bright fuchsia table linens may work, but a grand ballroom filled with 40 hot pink tables may be a bit overwhelming.
#4 – Make your own unique color
By experimenting with different sheers placed over various colored fabrics, you may find your own unique combination that gives you the look you want. Ideally, do this in the same lighting that your reception will be in for an accurate vision!

Second Thoughts

Selecting a venue for your wedding reception is one of the biggest decisions that a bride and groom make. Once your wedding date has been determined and your ceremony site booked, you feel an incredible amount of pressure to get your date locked in at a reception venue.

Making your venue selection can complicated because they are all so different and often offer different amenities to entice you. Then, you pay your deposit and feel relieved. That is until you hear about another venue or you talk to someone else and you think “I wish I would have known” about THAT VENUE before I booked and paid my deposit.

We, at Maxim Events, are so confident that you’ll get more for your money in one of central Indiana’s most beautiful venues that we offer our VENUE DEPOSIT REPLACEMENT PROGRAM (up to $500.00) of free product or upgrades toward your reception

The Fiddler's Three

The planning and building of this structure took almost five years. All beams are authentic and all fancy woodwork, display cases and cabinets were manufactured on the premisies by the proprietor William Dugan and his able assistant, Steve Lower. The beautiful leaded glass windows and doors, consisting of over 1700 pieces of glass, were also constructed hereb by these same two craftsmen.

The large chimney in the main dining room starts six feet below floor level and extends forty feetinto the air. It weighs nearly one hundred tons and has fireplaces both upstairs and down. The fireplaces were built by Harley Q. Brown, Master Mason of Shelbyville, Indiana. Bricks used in the lower fireplace are over one hundred years old and were taken from the Odd fellows Hall in St. Paul, Indiana. The mantel is a one hundred forty eight year old hewn beam from Shelby County. We extend to you the most gracious welcome to come dine with us. You can be assured you will be served amicably and attentively. We promise we will strive to bring you the finest food, beverages and dining pleasure...to make The Fiddlers Three one of the most unique places to dine in Indiana. http://www.thefiddlersthree.com
